We stayed here for one night, found it just by chance. The pond with lots of trout was the first pleasant surprise, I could seat there and meditate for hours looking at fish. The place is also by the small river, fresh and clean. |We were sleeping in a wooden room, small but cosy enough, very clean bed sheets made me fall asleep very quickly. |The dinner was served for all pilgrims, all guests were from different countries and all of us agreed that it was by far the best of what we tried recently. We started with a pumpkin soup, then had a nice salad made of vegetables that the hosts plant themselves. The smoked trout with mashed potatoes and fried zucchini was simply amazing. I never expected this type of food in a small village like that. We also had wine and water. Dessert was the apple pie. And it was just 11 euros p.p. |The hosts really cook only what they like themselves and you can feel it. |The charming cat Zyama is another attraction of the place, I was ready to steal it 🙂 |Overall I had an impression that this place is made with love and care. I would highly recommend it to any tourist.

I stayed here while I was walking Camino Frances, and I can say that it is the best place for relax and recuperation!||Very nice wooden eco-house and big rest zone with a pond - on a hot day you can sunbathe, lying on the green grass, or sleep in a hammok in the shadow. But even if it is very hot in the midday, the temperature in the evening is pleasantly cool - I slept very deep that night. ||So, I was very surprised, when I read one of the reviews for this albergue - that it was too hot in the room (I remember the man and the woman, who left this review - they came, stayed in the room for 5 minutes and then left with apologises) Albergue is quite simple place for pilgrims, nice and clean, not expensive, there is no air conditioning here, so it`s very strange to expect that it will be much cooler in the room than outside on a hot day. Moreover, there are no mosquitos here, as these man and the woman mentioned in there review.||And food here is delicious! Pumpkin soup, smoked trout, fresh vegetables from the garden, apple pie - homemade meal, you never meet dishes like this on the Camino. ||The hosts, Irina and Sergey, are very kind and friendly, they speak several languages - english, spanish, russian, german. ||It was the best place on my Camino!

The really good quality Albergue! Very quiet amazing place, delicious menu, simple and comfortable environment, very clean rooms overlooking the pond. I enjoyed my stay here, and for sure will come back again someday to try that smoked trout! owners Sergey and Irina thank you very much for the warm welcome, nice talks and special atmosphere! They made Santiago Camino many times, fell in love with that Camino atmosphere and have chosen to support pilgrims in such a nice way offering comfortable beds and high quality food.

We have two rules about food when traveling: if there’s a line, get in it - and - if there’s a fat cat on the property, something yummy awaits. This place did not disappoint. The smoked trout is fantastic. The greens tasted liked the were picked that day. And the cat was delightfully fat and friendly. We enjoyed fresh apple cake for dessert.
Worth a visit! We caught our hosts at 11am while they were turning over the Albergue. Thank you for accommodating our early lunch!

Just 14 km to o'cebreiro and directly on the camino, this wonderful rural albergue welcomes you with a beautiful sunny garden filled with exquisite irises and vegetables for your dinner and a huge picturesque trout filled pond surrounded by grassy banks and hammocks to laze away the afternoon. This was my favourite camino albergue with the hosts providing scrumptious meals and drinks and a home made apple cake to die for.||It's a shame that at times few stop here as you can see the owners have put a lot of care into creating this delightful garden paradise. Bunks and single rooms on offer. ||Perfect.

A piece of green nature on the dusty and little bit tough road. |Meal is home-made, fresh and very tasty, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The bed was really good for my aching back, and with white bedclothes! Soap, warm water in the showers.|Hosts are cheerful and helpful, there is a warning and relaxing atmosphere all over the place.|It's a really great auberge not just to stay in for a night, but to spend the whole day.

The place at the edge of the Vega De Valcarce is beautiful. Owners are very kind and frendly. They are making very excitedly smoked trout. The point is the cold smoke & the right time. That was perfect! My wife doesn't like the smoke tasty cause they are making for her the grilled one. So the service is 5*. The small lake and the silence are amazing, really. I offer all pilgrims who like the fish dish. The Albergue was frendly and clean.

My stay at El Pescador was perfect. The dinner was delicious! And vegetables fresh from their garden! They helped me out to find solutions to my "no-money"-"no-phone" arrival! Thanks a lot again. And its definitely a beautiful place to rest after a long hiking morning or day:)
